I took up knitting last winter, just to keep my hands busy while watching the telly. Thought it might be a bit of a faff, but I’ve surprised myself with how much I enjoy it!

The first scarf was a bit lopsided, but I’ve got the hang of it now and even made a hat for my grandson. I find it quite realxing, actually – puts me in a nice head space, and I reckon it’s done my concentration a world of good.

Plus, there’s a real sense of pride in making something from scratch!
