Hold the knife!

Want to look that bit fresher and younger with non invasive treatments?

Most of us want to look our best for our age – no matter what that age may be. More often than not, looking good makes us feel good. But what if nature – and time – have been less than kind to us? Especially to our face?

Here at Regenerated Me, our view on cosmetic surgery is simple: It’s your body (and your money) and it’s your choice! However, any cosmetic surgical procedure does not come without risk. This can include pain and discomfort, blood clotting or swelling (haematoma), bleeding, infection and nerve damage.

Plus of course, having gone through all the expense and risk, what happens if you’re not happy with the outcome and end up looking less Hollywood and more Bride of Wildenstein?

Fortunately, there are several non-surgical treatments out there that can improve the appearance of wrinkles and tired-looking skin. So here are a few of the options you may want to consider:

Botox

Botox is an incredibly popular way to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The Botox serum is injected into key points on the face to relaxing targeted muscles. It’s often used to treat frown lines, crow’s feet, and deep forehead lines. Expect the effects to last for up to four months.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are another type of injectable treatment that can literally plump up areas of the face that have lost their volume due to ageing. They can also be used to treat wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin, and the effect can last anywhere between six to eighteen months.

Non-surgical facelift

Right now, there are several non-surgical facelift options available, including thread lifts, ultrasound face-lifts, and radio-frequency face-lifts. What these treatments have in common is that they help stimulate your own collagen production in your skin which can help it tighten and “plump up”. Results can last between one and two years.

Chemical peels

Sounds painful? With most superficial treatments, you may well get a slight burning or tingling sensation, but this should only last for around five minutes. Chemical peels are a non-surgical treatment that can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and age spots by removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells. They can also stimulate collagen production, which can help improve the texture and elasticity of your skin.

Microdermabrasion:

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical treatment that uses a special device to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells. This can help improve the appearance of such things as fine lines, wrinkles and age spots, and, like some of the treatments above, may well as stimulate collagen production.

HOWEVER…

…before you embark on any treatment, it’s really important to do your research and only consult with a qualified and experienced practitioner to ensure that the treatment is appropriate for you, that it will meet your needs and achieve the desired results.
